In one sentence
Textfold is a privacy-first text expander for Mac that keeps every snippet as a plain .txt file in a folder you choose.
Description
Type a short abbreviation like ;sig and Textfold replaces it with the full text, in any app on your Mac. Snippets can ask for details with fill-in forms, insert today's date or one a few days ahead, place the cursor and paste the clipboard. Every snippet is a plain .txt file in a folder you choose, so you can edit them in any editor and sync them with iCloud Drive, Dropbox or git. There's no account and no analytics: what you type never leaves your Mac. Textfold imports snippets from TextExpander, Raycast, Alfred, Espanso, aText and Apple Text Replacements. It's free for 10 snippets with every feature, and Pro is a one-time purchase with no subscription.
